Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 1 – 2 years of experience in plant or electrical system operation, preferably in solar PV or related industries
- Basic knowledge of 33kV switchyard operations and electrical safety standards
- Solid understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, LV panels, and electrical equipment
- Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining LV/MV systems and using test instruments
- Familiarity with cloud-based monitoring platforms for solar generation tracking
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain solar PV plant equipment including inverters, LV panels, and the 33kV switchyard
- Monitor system performance through cloud-based platforms and ensure all operations comply with standard procedures
- Coordinate with the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and internal teams to manage outages, shutdowns, and operational updates
- Maintain accurate daily logs, handle alarms promptly, and ensure safety compliance at all times
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize plant efficiency
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical and troubleshooting skills
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail, accurate record-keeping, and effective communication skills
- Team-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and adherence to standard operating procedures
- Technical troubleshooting skills for electrical and solar PV equipment
