Qualifications & Experience

• B.Sc. (Engineering) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university, or NDT/HNDE qualification with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
• Hands-on experience with PLC and SCADA systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical automation and industrial control systems.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Sinhala.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control systems according to machine and process requirements.
• Develop, program, test, and commission PLC-based automation systems.
• Design and implement SCADA and HMI applications for manufacturing and process automation.
• Upgrade and maintain factory electrical power distribution systems to support production and expansion projects.
• Identify and implement automation solutions to improve productivity, reduce labour costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and material requisitions for electrical and automation projects.
• Select suitable electrical and automation components in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams for timely sourcing and delivery of materials.
• Supervise contractors during installation, testing, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Provide technical support during project execution, including troubleshooting, commissioning, and system optimization.
• Ensure all electrical and automation projects comply with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including electrical drawings, control schematics, operating manuals, and commissioning reports.
