Position Details

The Demonstrator (Temporary) in Information and Communication Technology will support practical and instructional activities related to ICT programmes conducted by the University College of Batangala.

The appointment is temporary for a period limited to one year and carries entitlement to the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF).

Qualifications & Experience

• A Degree in the relevant field.

Definition of Relevant Degree

According to the vacancy notice:

• A “Degree” means a degree offered by a university or Higher Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament of Sri Lanka or recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.
• A degree “in the relevant field” means a degree relevant to the diploma and/or higher national diploma programmes conducted by the University College.

Key Responsibilities

The Demonstrator (Temporary) may be responsible for:

• Supporting practical teaching and instructional activities in Information and Communication Technology.
• Assisting students with practical ICT-related learning.
• Supporting lecturers and academic staff during practical sessions.
• Assisting with ICT-related demonstrations and training activities.
• Supporting the effective delivery of relevant diploma and higher national diploma programmes.
• Performing other duties assigned by the University College authorities.

Required Skills

Candidates should have:

• Good knowledge of Information and Communication Technology.
• Ability to support practical and technical learning activities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students and academic staff.
• Good organizational and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow academic and institutional procedures.
• Practical understanding of ICT-related subjects relevant to the programmes conducted by the University College.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Scale: U-AC 1 – 2025

Fixed Salary: Rs. 68,145 per month.
