Position Details

The Assistant General Manager (Finance) will be responsible for supporting and managing financial and accounting functions of the Co-operative Wholesale Establishment. The position requires extensive managerial-level experience in finance, accounting, business administration or commerce, together with relevant postgraduate or professional qualifications.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should meet one of the following qualification and experience requirements:

Qualification Route 1

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration or Commerce recognized by the University Grants Commission.
• A Postgraduate Degree qualification (Master’s) in the relevant field or Associate Membership of a recognized professional Chartered Institute relevant to the subject area of the post.
• Minimum 13 years of experience at Managerial Level in a Corporation, Statutory Board, Institution or reputed private institution after obtaining the first degree.

Qualification Route 2

• Full Membership of a recognized professional Chartered Institute in a field related to the post.
• Minimum 13 years of experience at Managerial Level in a Corporation, Statutory Board, Institution or reputed private institution after obtaining full membership.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant General Manager (Finance) will be expected to:

• Support the financial management functions of the Co-operative Wholesale Establishment.
• Oversee and coordinate accounting and finance-related activities.
• Assist in financial planning, monitoring and reporting.
• Support effective financial administration and internal controls.
• Manage finance-related operations at managerial level.
• Coordinate with relevant departments and management on financial matters.
• Ensure financial activities are carried out in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Scale: HM 1-2 – 2025

Salary: Rs. 143,120 – 15 × Rs. 4,100 – Rs. 204,620 per month.

A special allowance will be granted in accordance with Management Services Circular No. 01/2024 dated 12 January 2024.

Other applicable employment benefits will be provided according to the relevant terms and conditions of service.
