The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance and quality control requirements for major civil construction projects including wind turbine foundations, roadworks, drainage systems, concrete works, and associated infrastructure developments.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Civil QA/QC Plans, ITPs, checklists, and quality inspection records.
• Review:
  • Construction drawings
  • Specifications
  • Method statements
  • Material approvals
• Conduct QA/QC inspections for:
  • Wind turbine foundations
  • Excavation and backfilling
  • Ground improvement works
  • Reinforcement and formwork
  • Anchor bolt templates
  • Concrete placement
• Monitor concrete quality including:
  • Slump testing
  • Temperature checks
  • Cube/cylinder sampling
  • Compressive strength tests
• Verify:
  • Soil and roadwork quality
  • Field density testing
  • Material testing
  • Compaction testing
• Ensure environmental management and drainage requirements are properly implemented.
• Raise and follow up on:
  • NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
  • Site Observation Reports
  • Corrective action requests
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, laboratories, consultants, and project representatives.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and records.
• Support final project handover documentation and quality close-out activities.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Civil Construction QA/QC.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in:
  • Infrastructure projects
  • Power sector projects
  • Renewable energy projects
  • Wind farm projects
  • Road construction
  • Heavy civil construction

Added Advantages

• Pile/Raft foundations

Technical Knowledge Required

Sound knowledge of:

• QA/QC Plans and ITPs
