Job Description

Selected candidates will work closely with legal professionals, assisting in legal research, case preparation, and documentation. This role provides valuable exposure to company law, commercial law, and employment law, along with practical court-related procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on regulations, case law, and jurisprudence
• Assist in drafting legal documents and case preparation
• Support attorneys in handling legal matters and court-related tasks
• Analyze legal issues and provide research-based insights
• Maintain proper documentation and case records
• Collaborate with team members on legal assignments

Eligibility Criteria

Legal Intern

• Candidates must have completed or be currently enrolled in an LLB degree or equivalent (local or international)

Legal Apprentice

• Candidates must be undertaking the mandatory 6-month apprenticeship program at Sri Lanka Law College

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong understanding of company, commercial, and employment law
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Strategic and innovative thinking skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Fluency in English with proficiency in Sinhala and/or Tamil

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
