Resident Nursery Officer – Coconut Cultivation Board

The Coconut Cultivation Board, under the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure, invites applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Resident Nursery Officer – Grade III.

Job Details

Position: Resident Nursery Officer – Grade III
Workplace: Islandwide, according to service requirements
Salary Category: MA 2-3
Salary Scale: Rs. 52,700 – (800 × 10) – (1,190 × 11) – (1,320 × 10) – (1,350 × 10) – Rs. 100,490/-

The salary payment method is as per Management Service Department Circular No. 01/2025, with the relevant initial salary payments stated as Rs. 48,784/- from 01.01.2026 and Rs. 52,700/- from 01.01.2027.

Qualifications & Experience

External Candidates

Applicants should possess:

• A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level Five (05) or higher proficiency certificate related to the agriculture sector.
• The qualification should have been obtained from a Technical/Vocational Institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 45 years
• The maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants.

Other Benefits

A cost-of-living allowance of Rs. 17,800/- is applicable to this post, subject to the conditions specified in the vacancy notice.

Other Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
• Possess excellent physical and mental fitness required to perform the duties assigned to the post and serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
• Be of excellent character.

Recruitment Method

Recruitment will be based on the results of a written competitive examination and/or a structured interview conducted by a panel appointed by the appointing authority.
