Job Overview

The State Printing Corporation, a well-established profit-making commercial organization involved in commercial printing, security printing, publishing, and stationery production and marketing, is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sri Lankan to join its team as an Account Officer (JM 1-1) – Grade II.

Job Description

• Assist in the overall supervision of operational functions in the Finance Department.
• Supervise operational functions related to sources of income and cost accounting.
• Collect data and prepare all documents related to management accounting.
• Supervise entries in ledgers and journals.
• Schedule annual verification and supervise its progress.
• Assist in the preparation of final accounts and annual budgets.

Qualifications

External Candidates

Applicants should possess one of the following:

• Intermediate-level examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL).
• Intermediate-level examination of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
• Intermediate-level examination of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
• Intermediate-level examination of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICMA SL).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Commerce.
• Higher National Diploma in Accountancy with one year of post-qualifying experience in a relevant field in a Government Department, Corporation, Board, or reputed Mercantile Establishment.

Internal Candidates

• Candidates who have completed 5 years of satisfactory service in Grade III of Management Assistant (MA 1-2) Non-Technical category are eligible.
• Candidates in the MA category who possess the qualifications required for external candidates are also eligible, subject to having completed one year of satisfactory service immediately preceding the date of application in the State Printing Corporation.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 22 years
• Maximum age: 45 years
• The upper age limit will not apply to internal candidates.

Salary

JM 1-1 – 2025: Rs. 72,650/-
Effective from 01.01.2027: Rs. 72,650/-

Salary scale: Rs. 72,650 – 10 × Rs. 1,360 – 18 × Rs. 2,040 – Rs. 122,970/-

In addition to the basic salary, applicable government-approved allowances and other benefits are provided.

Service Conditions
