Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction costing, contract administration, and procurement procedures.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Good understanding of construction contracts, project costing, and commercial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets for construction works.
- Monitor project costs and expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
- Conduct tender analysis and evaluate contractor and subcontractor bids.
- Administer construction contracts with clients, consultants, and suppliers.
- Manage variation orders and contract changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and verify quantities.
- Prepare interim and final valuation reports, including Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs).
- Review and certify IPCs according to project progress and contractual requirements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, commercial requirements, and legal regulations.
