Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Age above 40 years.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or higher education institution.
• Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience, including at least 7 years in a senior leadership or management role.
• Strong knowledge of hospital engineering systems, medical equipment, facilities management, and maintenance operations.
• Proven leadership, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Thorough understanding of safety, health, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience in engineering project planning and resource management will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Engineering Department to ensure efficient and uninterrupted hospital operations.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all building services, medical equipment, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes and engineering policies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Manage departmental budgets, engineering resources, and vendor relationships effectively.
• Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise to support organizational objectives.
• Monitor engineering performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate engineering projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.
• Ensure maximum reliability and availability of engineering systems supporting hospital operations.
