Qualifications & Experience

External Candidates

Applicants should:

• Have sat for the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination

Internal Candidates

Applicants already employed in the institution may apply according to applicable internal recruitment procedures.

Salary Scale

According to DMS Circular No. 01/2025:

PL 1 – Rs. 40,500 – 450×10 – 490×10 – 540×7 – 590×15 – Rs. 62,530

Current Salary as at 01.01.2026

• Rs. 38,488.00
• Government approved allowances will also be paid

Method of Recruitment

Selection will be based on:

• Structured Interview

Age Limit

• Applicants should be between 18 and 45 years as at the closing date of applications
• Upper age limit does not apply for internal candidates

General Conditions

Applicants should:

• Be citizens of Sri Lanka
• Be physically and mentally fit for duties
• Possess excellent moral character
• Be willing to work in any part of the island if required

Employment Conditions

• External recruits will be placed on probation for 3 years
• Recruitment will be made on the initial salary step

EPF & ETF Contributions

• Employee contribution to EPF: 8%
• Institution contribution to EPF: 12%
• Institution contribution to ETF: 3%
