Company Overview
Western Provincial Road Passenger Transport Authority functions under the Ministry of Provincial Roads, Transport, Co-operative Development and Trade, Housing and Construction, Estate Infrastructure, Industries and Rural Development – Western Province.
The Authority is responsible for regulating and improving passenger transport services within the Western Province while supporting efficient and sustainable public transportation systems.
Qualifications & Experience
External Applicants
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in:
- Business Administration
- Public Administration
- Management
- Commerce
- Human Resource Management
AND
- Minimum one (01) year of experience in administration or management within a Government Department, Government Corporation, Board, or reputed commercial establishment
Internal Applicants
Applicants should possess:
- Minimum five (05) years of satisfactory service experience in a Grade One post under the Management Assistant Service Category in a relevant field
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate administrative and operational activities of the Authority
- Maintain institutional records, reports, and official documentation
- Assist in implementing administrative policies and procedures
- Support staff coordination and office management functions
- Handle correspondence and communication activities
- Assist in organizing meetings, schedules, and institutional events
- Ensure smooth day-to-day administrative operations
- Support management with reporting and operational planning
