Position Details

Executive – Market Conduct Supervision

• Organization: Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL)

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Assisting in implementing market conduct rules, regulations, and guidelines
• Supporting development of strategies, toolkits, and templates for market conduct supervision
• Monitoring and reporting unlawful or inappropriate market practices
• Conducting market conduct risk assessments and preparing annual assessment reports
• Assisting in preparing risk-based supervision plans and required documentation
• Participating in risk-based onsite examinations to assess compliance
• Supporting investigations on specific focus areas and border market concerns
• Assisting in standardization of key insurance policies based on onsite and offsite findings
• Supporting implementation of strategic action plans of the unit
• Preparing monthly reports and relevant matters assigned by management

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Insurance
  • Finance
  • Accountancy
  • Business Administration
  • Or a related discipline

recognized by the University Grants Commission

OR

• A professional qualification equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field

Experience Requirements

• Minimum two (02) years post-qualifying relevant experience at junior executive/executive level in a reputed organization

Preferred Skills

Ideal candidates should have:

• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Knowledge of insurance industry regulations
• Risk assessment and compliance knowledge
• Good communication and documentation abilities
• Computer literacy and report preparation skills

Age Limit

• Applicants should be below 40 years at the closing date of applications.
