Position Details

Assistant Director – Investigation

• Organization: Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL)
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Sector: Insurance Regulation & Legal Investigation

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing policies and statutory requirements for complaint management
• Providing guidance in handling insurance-related disputes and complaints
• Supporting the Strategic Plan of the Division
• Carrying out investigations under the Regulation of Insurance Industry Act
• Monitoring and preparing quarterly, annual, and monthly reports
• Assisting in complaint inquiries within the division
• Conducting root-cause analysis for complaints and disputes
• Assisting in implementation of projects, policies, and statutory requirements
• Training and guiding subordinate staff

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• An Attorney-at-Law qualification

OR

• A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university in:
  • Law
  • Or a related field

Experience Requirements

• Minimum six (06) years post-qualifying relevant managerial experience in a reputed organization

Added Advantage

• Experience or qualifications in insurance
• Experience working in a regulatory authority

Age Limit

• Applicants should be below 40 years at the closing date of applications.
