Role Summary

The Head of Corporate Finance & Treasury will:

• Oversee the company’s liquidity and capital strategy
• Recommend optimal funding structures and liquidity buffers
• Lead treasury and corporate finance functions
• Advise management and the Board on:
  • Capital adequacy
  • Funding strategy
  • Financial sustainability
  • Investment evaluations
• Lead capital structuring and funding diversification initiatives
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance standards

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing and executing corporate finance strategies aligned with organizational goals
• Managing treasury operations, funding lines, and banking relationships
• Leading capital-raising initiatives including:
  • Debt financing
  • Subordinated instruments
  • Equity financing
• Managing investor relations and coordinating with:
  • Rating agencies
  • Capital market participants
  • Financial intermediaries
• Conducting:
  • Financial modelling
  • Valuation analysis
  • Capital optimization assessments
• Assessing financial risks including:
  • Capital adequacy
  • Liquidity risk
  • Refinancing risk
  • Market risks
• Supporting long-term strategy formation and budgeting processes
• Ensuring compliance with:
  • Central Bank of Sri Lanka regulations
  • Other statutory requirements
• Evaluating mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities
• Advising the Board and corporate management on treasury and finance matters

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Finance
  • Accounting
  • Management
    or equivalent professional qualification
• Professional qualifications such as:
  • CA Sri Lanka
  • ACCA
  • CIMA
  • CFA
• MBA or Master’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field will be an added advantage
• Minimum 15 years of experience including:
  • 8 years in managerial-level experience
  • Experience within finance companies, banks, or financial institutions
• Strong exposure to:
  • Capital markets
  • Structured finance
  • Regulatory frameworks
• Proven leadership capability in managing high-performing finance teams
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
