Assistant Storekeeper
Job Description
Richardson Engineering (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a dynamic and motivated Assistant Storekeeper to join their finance and inventory operations team in Puttalam. The ideal candidate should have experience in inventory handling, stock management, invoice processing, and warehouse coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock records and monitor inventory levels.
- Inspect deliveries and ensure proper storage and timely material dispatch.
- Assist with stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams for fuel and material availability.
- Process invoices and support basic accounting and financial tasks.
- Prepare reports on:
- Inventory
- Fuel usage
- Goods movement
- Ensure workplace organization using 5S practices and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in:
- Stores Management
- Supply Chain Management
- Related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in inventory management.
- Proficiency in:
- MS Word
- MS Excel
- Basic ERP systems
- Knowledge of inventory management software.
- Experience with banking procedures and invoice processing.
- Basic understanding of accounting tasks.
- Knowledge of manufacturing engineering products and materials management will be an added advantage.
