Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze daily operational costs across all hotel departments
• Control food, beverage, and general supply costs through inventory audits and consumption tracking
• Verify and reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries with store records
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cost control and inventory reports
• Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure supplier pricing and procurement compliance
• Review recipes and menu pricing for profitability analysis
• Support monthly stock takes and inventory valuation processes
• Investigate cost or stock variances and report findings to management
• Recommend cost-saving initiatives and support departmental budgeting activities
• Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and operational procedures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Part qualification from ICASL, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional body
• Minimum of 4–5 years experience as a Cost Controller or similar role in the hospitality industry
• Strong understanding of financial and accounting procedures, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Familiarity with cost control methodologies, inventory management, and procurement processes
• Proficiency in financial software such as SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel
