Job Description

ICBT Campus is seeking qualified and experienced Visiting Lecturers to conduct PTE (Pearson Test of English) classes at its Kandy Branch. The selected candidates will be responsible for preparing students for PTE examinations while delivering engaging and effective English language education.

This role is suitable for professionals with strong academic backgrounds in English or Education and prior experience in English language teaching and PTE preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare students for PTE examinations effectively
• Teach English for Academic Purposes (EAP), English Literature, or Linguistics
• Design lesson plans and develop teaching materials
• Conduct oral and written assessments
• Supervise student research and academic projects
• Deliver lectures using virtual classroom tools and digital learning platforms
• Maintain effective classroom management and student engagement

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, or a related field
• Additional certifications in TESOL, Virtual Classroom Training, or ICT will be an added advantage
• Postgraduate studies in Education or Language Teaching will be an added advantage

Professional Experience

• Prior experience in preparing students for PTE exams is mandatory
• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in English language education at university or professional level
• Experience in:
  • English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
  • English Literature or Linguistics
  • Lesson planning and material development
  • Conducting student assessments
  • Supervising academic research projects

Additional Skills

• Strong IT literacy and ability to use online teaching platforms effectively
• Familiarity with virtual teaching tools and digital learning environments
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
