Job Description

Arambhaya Boutique Hotel is looking for a motivated Commis I – Hot Kitchen to support kitchen operations and assist experienced chefs in delivering high-quality dishes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and learning advanced culinary techniques in a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation including chopping, washing, and ingredient preparation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
• Support senior chefs in plating, garnishing, and assembling dishes
• Perform basic cooking tasks such as sautéing, grilling, and baking under supervision
• Follow standardized recipes to ensure consistency in quality and presentation
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Assist in stock control, inventory tracking, and ordering supplies
• Report any issues related to kitchen operations to supervisors
• Continuously learn and improve culinary skills and techniques

Requirements & Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cooking and kitchen operations
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
