Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must satisfy at least one of the following qualification pathways.

Pathway 1: Technical Qualification

• Successful completion of a relevant technical course at a minimum of NVQ Level 4.
• At least three years of unblemished post-qualifying experience in the relevant field.

OR

Pathway 2: G.C.E. Advanced Level Qualification

• Three subject passes at the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination.
• At least five years of unblemished post-qualifying experience in the relevant field.

Additional Requirements

• Candidates must pass the prescribed trade/written test.
• Applicants must not be more than 30 years of age as at the application closing date.
• Required qualifications must be fulfilled by the closing date.
• Applicants must be able to produce relevant certificates when requested.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Technician – Civil will support civil engineering and maintenance activities at CPSTL facilities. Duties may include:

• Assisting with civil maintenance and repair work.
• Supporting inspection and maintenance of buildings, structures and related infrastructure.
• Assisting with civil construction and maintenance activities according to technical instructions.
• Supporting site measurements, inspections and basic technical documentation.
• Reporting maintenance requirements and identifying civil infrastructure issues to supervisors.
• Assisting technical officers and engineers with assigned civil works.
• Following workplace safety procedures and organizational standards.
• Performing other duties relevant to the position as assigned by the organization.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Scale: Rs. 88,700 – 5 × Rs. 1,055 – 10 × Rs. 1,180 – Rs. 105,775.
