The Support to Colombo Urban Regeneration Project (AIIB) Vacancies 2026 has been officially announced by the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development under the Government of Sri Lanka.
This major urban development initiative is financed by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) with USD 158 million allocated for the construction of approximately 4,074 housing units and redevelopment of lands in the City of Colombo and its suburbs under the Urban Regeneration Programme .
The project is executed by the Ministry and implemented by the Urban Development Authority (UDA).
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Sri Lankan citizens for the following contract-based positions.

🎓 Required Qualifications & Experience
Detailed qualifications are specified in accordance with Management Services Circular 01/2026 .
🔹 1️⃣ Project Director (Category A)
Applicants must possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree + Postgraduate Degree (Master’s) in relevant field
- Associate Membership of recognized professional body
AND - Minimum 11 years post-qualifying managerial experience (6 years at senior level)
OR
- Corporate/Fellow Membership of recognized professional body
- Minimum 10 years managerial experience (5 years senior level)
🔹 2️⃣ Assistant Project Director (Procurement) – Category D
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying
- Associate Membership in relevant professional body
- Minimum 7 years post-qualifying experience
OR
- Class II/III officer in All-Island Service with 7 years experience in similar capacity
🔹 3️⃣ Engineer (Civil) – Category D
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Associate Membership in relevant professional body
- Minimum 7 years experience
OR
- Class II/III officer with similar experience
🔹 4️⃣ Planning Assistant / Technical Officer / Assistant Sociologist (Category F)
Candidates must have one of the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field + 2 years experience
OR - NVQ Level 7 + 2 years experience
OR - NVQ Level 6 + 7 years experience
OR - NVQ Level 5 + 12 years experience
🔹 5️⃣ Computer Operator (Supporting Staff)
- Passed G.C.E O/L (6 subjects, 5 credits including Language, Mathematics & English)
- NVQ Level 5 or above in IT
- High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Minimum 3 years experience
Experience in project data entry is an added advantage.
🔹 6️⃣ Office Assistant (Supporting Staff)
- Passed G.C.E O/L with 6 subjects including 2 Credit passes

- Contract period: 1 year (extendable based on satisfactory performance)
- Experience in foreign-funded and high-rise construction projects is an added advantage
