Job Description

We Are Hiring! The Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies (University of Kelaniya) is looking for a Works Aide.

The Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies, affiliated with the University of Kelaniya, invites applications from qualified persons to fill the vacancy of Works Aide (Grade III).

Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualifications:

  • Should have passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six (06) subjects with at least two (02) credit passes in not more than two sittings.

• Age Limit: Should be not less than 18 years and not more than 45 years.

• Other Requirements:

  • Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka.

  • Should be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post well and to serve in any part of the island.

  • Should be of excellent moral character.

Remuneration & Selection

• Salary Scale: U-PL 1(III) – Rs. 42,775 – 16×450 – 49,975 (Per month).

  • Salary will be paid in accordance with Management Services Circular 06/2025 and Commission Circular No. 02/2025(i).

• Selection Process: Selection will be by a Trade Test and / or Structured interview.

• Other Attributes:

  • Sound knowledge in English.

  • Sound knowledge in IT.
