Uva Provincial Director – National Police Commission

Applications are currently being called from retired officers who fulfill the required qualifications for the post of Provincial Director at the Uva Provincial Office of the National Police Commission.

Qualifications to be Considered: The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• Service Background: Must be a retired officer who has served in any position in the Executive Service category, Grade 1 or Special Grade of the Public Service.

• Age Limit: Must not have exceeded 64 years of age as at the closing date of the applications.

• Language Skills: Apart from the knowledge of the Sinhala language, knowledge of English / Tamil will be considered an additional qualification.

• Experience: Prior experience in investigative work is a particular advantage.

Terms of Employment & Remuneration:

• Contract Period: Initially appointed on a contract basis for a period of one year. The National Police Commission will decide on the extension of service based on performance in accordance with existing valid rules, regulations, and laws.

• Monthly Allowance: A monthly allowance of Rs. 70,000/- inclusive of all allowances will be paid.
