Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Hold a B.Sc. Degree in Microbiology or a related field with Microbiology as a subject.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior laboratory training or internship experience related to microbiology testing will be an added advantage.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of microbiological samples.
- Perform routine testing for pathogens, yeast, mould, and indicator organisms in food and water samples.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of laboratory results.
- Prepare microbiological media and record laboratory data accurately.
- Support general laboratory housekeeping and equipment calibration activities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of microbiology principles.
- Ability to carefully follow laboratory protocols and accurately record data.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn sterile techniques, media preparation, and sample handling.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a busy laboratory environment.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Eagerness to learn and continuously improve.
