Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Hold a B.Sc. Degree in Microbiology or a related field with Microbiology as a subject.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior laboratory training or internship experience related to microbiology testing will be an added advantage.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of microbiological samples.
• Perform routine testing for pathogens, yeast, mould, and indicator organisms in food and water samples.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of laboratory results.
• Prepare microbiological media and record laboratory data accurately.
• Support general laboratory housekeeping and equipment calibration activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of microbiology principles.
• Ability to carefully follow laboratory protocols and accurately record data.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn sterile techniques, media preparation, and sample handling.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a busy laboratory environment.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Eagerness to learn and continuously improve.
