The Open University of Sri Lanka is inviting applications for the post of Temporary Demonstrator (Tamil Preferred) attached to the Department of Physics, Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Colombo Regional Centre.

Temporary Demonstrator (Tamil Preferred)

📍 Location: Colombo Regional Centre, Sri Lanka

Job Summary

The selected candidate will support practical sessions and student activities in both English and Tamil medium while assisting academic duties at the main campus and regional/study centres of the university.

Qualifications & Skills

Applicants should possess:

• BSc Honors Degree in Physics with a class
• Communication skills in English and Tamil (oral and written)
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to conduct practical and student support activities in English and Tamil medium
• Good computer knowledge

Appointment Details

• Initial appointment period: 6 months
• Extendable up to 2 years based on performance
• Working days: Monday to Friday, 8.30 AM – 4.15 PM
• Candidates should be willing to work on weekends and holidays when required

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly salary: Rs. 68,145
• Cost of Living allowance
• Monthly allowance including UPF
