Job Profile: Key Responsibilities
The Teller Service Officer is primarily responsible for the efficient management of counter transactions and customer service:
Account Services: Provide over-the-counter services to customers by accepting cash and cheque deposits and processing withdrawals.
Cash Management: Balance and sort cash in strict accordance with Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) guidelines.
Customer Service: Serve customers in an effective and efficient manner while adhering to the bank’s service guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local controls and regulations, including Money Laundering and KYC (Know Your Customer) guidelines, to prevent fraud and losses.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer transactions.
Internal Coordination: Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal departments to ensure seamless operations.
Person Profile: Requirements
We are looking for candidates who possess strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to accuracy:
Experience: A minimum of 01 year of experience working in a bank as a Teller or Cashier.
Education: Successful completion of the GCE A/L qualification.
Professional Qualification: A part or full qualification in Banking will be considered an added advantage.
Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, paired with strong interpersonal abilities.
