Qualifications & Experience

• Successfully completed a 3-year full-time certificate course in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering from a recognized technical institute.
• Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in all subjects with three credit passes, including Mathematics, and at least a simple pass in English.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
• Thorough knowledge and practical experience in engines and heavy machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals.
• Valid heavy vehicle driving licence.
• Ability to work at heights and on a roster/shift basis.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, servicing, and refurbishment of terminal equipment, including Quay Gantry Cranes, Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes, and terminal trailers.
• Diagnose faults in diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and heavy mechanical equipment.
• Program and troubleshoot SIEMENS and YASKAWA PLC systems.
• Diagnose faults in AC/DC variable speed drives and perform programming modifications and repairs.
• Maintain MV/LV power supply and distribution systems.
• Carry out preventive and corrective electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic maintenance.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with operational and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation.

• Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic engineering expertise.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• AC/DC variable speed drive maintenance.
• Hydraulic and diesel engine maintenance.
• MV/LV power distribution systems knowledge.
• Technical fault diagnosis and problem-solving.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Teamwork, communication, and safety awareness.
