Qualifications & Experience

External Candidates

Applicants should possess:

• A proficiency certificate not below NVQ Level 04 issued by a Technical or Vocational Training Institute accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), relevant to the functions of the post

AND

• Minimum three (03) years of experience in the relevant field in a reputed establishment

Internal Candidates

Applicants from Primary Level Semi-skilled (PL 2) or Primary Level Unskilled (PL 1) categories may apply if they possess:

• The qualifications and experience required for external candidates

OR

• Minimum five (05) years of working experience in the relevant field with skills not below NVQ Level 02 proven through a trade test

Additional Requirements

• Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka
• Should be physically and mentally fit
• Willingness to serve in any part of Sri Lanka

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair work related to electrical and electronic systems
• Troubleshoot technical faults and equipment issues
• Support installation and operation of electrical and electronic equipment
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities
• Ensure workplace safety and compliance with technical standards
• Maintain technical records and reports
• Assist in institutional technical operations and support services

Required Skills

• Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
• Technical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Familiarity with electrical tools and equipment
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team
