Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Master’s Degree in Education from a Sri Lankan university or another overseas university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
• Minimum of ten (10) years of classroom teaching and academic supervision experience in a recognized educational institution.
• Experience as an In-Service Advisor (ISA) will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience as a Resource Person in the Ministry of Education or the National Institute of Education will be preferred.
• Experience as a Panel Chief for National Examinations is desirable.
• Proven experience in examination paper setting, item writing, moderation, and assessment development.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure classroom teaching aligns with the national curriculum and examination requirements.
• Prepare examination papers, item writing, assessment moderation, and evaluation activities.
• Coordinate with the Examination Division to develop and implement assessment policies.
• Analyze student academic performance and implement improvement strategies.
• Provide academic leadership and guidance to teachers within the assigned subject area.
• Support curriculum planning and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
