Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A Degree from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with Tamil Language or English Language as a subject
• AND applicants must have obtained required language competency passes at G.C.E. O/L level (English or Tamil as specified in the circular)

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 22 years
• Maximum age: 45 years
• Age limit not applicable for internal applicants

Key Responsibilities

• Translate official documents between Tamil and English accurately
• Support preparation of bilingual reports, notices, and correspondence
• Ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency in official communications
• Assist in drafting translated versions of legal and administrative documents
• Maintain translation records and reference materials
• Support communication between stakeholders in multilingual contexts
• Proofread and review translated content for quality assurance

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Tamil and English languages
• Excellent translation and interpretation skills
• Good understanding of formal and legal terminology
• Strong writing and editing abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in language use
• Ability to handle confidential documents
• Good time management and organizational skills

• Salary Scale: MA 3 – 2025 (Rs. 53,940 – 94,980)
