We Are Hiring! Softlogic Retail (Pvt) Ltd is looking for a Senior Technical Officer.
Softlogic Retail (Pvt) Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Softlogic Holdings PLC, is a leading partner for many of the world’s leading Consumer Electronics and Furniture Brands in Sri Lanka. We are inviting applications for the position of Senior Technical Officer.
Job Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of photocopy machines and office equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations at customer locations.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and test photocopy machines, printers, scanners, and MFPs.
Preventive Care: Carry out preventive maintenance as per AMC/service schedules.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair hardware and software faults, replacing defective parts such as drums, rollers, fusers, and boards.
Response: Attend breakdown calls and resolve issues within agreed timelines, including urgent and priority service calls when required.
Documentation: Maintain service reports, job cards, and spare parts usage records.
Support: Provide basic user training and operational support to customers.
Coordination: Coordinate with service coordinators and spare parts teams.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and service standards.
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
Experience:
1–3 years’ experience as a photocopy or office equipment technician.
Experience handling AMC contracts and bank/corporate customers is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of photocopy machines and MFPs.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
Basic networking knowledge (IP setup, scan/email, driver installation).
Qualifications: NVQ / Diploma / Technical Certificate in Electronics, Electrical, or IT Manufacturer training (Canon, Ricoh, Xerox, Konica, etc.) is an added advantage.
Soft Skills: Good communication and customer handling skills, effective time management, and ability to work under pressure.
Working Conditions:
Field-based role with frequent travel to customer locations.
Willingness to travel to customer locations.
Weekend or after-hours support may be required for urgent jobs.
