📝 Job Description
The Senior Engineer (Core Network) – ZTE Lanka (Pvt) Ltd will be responsible for core network troubleshooting, optimization, commissioning, and integration, ensuring high performance and SLA compliance for telecom operator networks.
This role requires strong expertise in EPC, signaling, IP networking, and core network protocols.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and optimize core network performance
- Identify potential network issues and recommend improvements
- Perform version upgrades and network parameter tuning
- Support incident recovery and onsite operations according to SLA
- Assist in commissioning, integration, and migration of core network nodes
- Work with sales and pre-sales teams to analyze customer requirements
- Implement customized solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
- Prepare technical documentation for major network changes and upgrades
🎓 Educational Qualifications
- BSc Engineering Degree (Telecommunication / Electronics preferred)
- Degree from a recognized university or professional institute
🧠 Experience & Competencies
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Core Network systems
- Hands-on experience with EPC (SGSN, MME, SGW, PGW)
- Strong knowledge of core network troubleshooting & signaling trace analysis
- Good understanding of Core Network Protocols:
- SS7, SIGTRAN, CAMEL
- TCP/IP, DIAMETER, SIP
- Experience with Linux operating system maintenance
- Experience in 3G & 4G core network maintenance
- Strong knowledge of IP network protocols
- Basic knowledge of NFV / SDN / IMS (added advantage)
- Knowledge of UDM, IMS, VoLTE, DRA, PCRF will be advantageous
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
