Job Overview

The Colombo South Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society is seeking disciplined and vigilant Security Guards to ensure the safety of personnel, property, and assets at our various cooperative locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles.

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.

• Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational safety.

• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance as needed to maintain order.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualification criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Must have passed the 8th Grade (Year 09).

• Physical Standards: Must be at least 5′ 5″ in height and possess a chest measurement of at least 32 inches (unexpanded). Candidates must be physically fit and medically sound.

General Criteria:

• Age: Between 18 and 45 years.

• Residency: Must have been a permanent resident of the Western Province for at least 03 years.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary Scale: 14,504 – 21,254/- (Grade 105:10 III)

• Allowances: * 15% Cost of Living allowance.

  • Specific monthly allowances ranging from Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 10,000 based on government and society circulars.
