Job Overview
The Right to Information Commission of Sri Lanka, established under the Right to Information Act No. 12 of 2016, is inviting applications for the position of Record Management Officer (Record Management). This role is responsible for maintaining official records, document control systems, filing, archiving, and ensuring proper information management within the Commission in accordance with government standards.

The Right to Information Commission (RTI Commission) is an independent statutory body established under the RTI Act No. 12 of 2016. The Commission ensures transparency, accountability, and proper access to public information while maintaining structured documentation and compliance systems across government institutions in Sri Lanka.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Passed G.C.E. (O/L) with 6 subjects including Credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil, Mathematics, and English
- AND passed G.C.E. (A/L) in at least 3 subjects (excluding General Paper)
- AND a Certificate in Computer Applications (minimum 06 months) from a recognized institution approved by TVEC
Age Limit
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 45 years
- Age limit not applicable for internal applicants
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage official records and filing systems
- Organize document storage, archiving, and retrieval processes
- Assist in record classification and indexing systems
- Support data entry and documentation management activities
- Ensure proper handling of confidential and official records
- Assist in preparing reports related to record management
- Maintain both physical and digital record systems
- Support administrative staff in documentation workflows
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office and data entry tools)
- Knowledge of filing and archiving systems
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and administrative efficiency
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Scale: MA 1-2 – 2025 (Rs. 46,220 – 84,350)
