Project Manager – Innovation – Orel Corporation (Pvt) Ltd

With a mission to energize lives by delivering sustainable solutions across power, data, and water, they are currently inviting applications for the position of Project Manager – Innovation.

Your Responsibilities Will Include: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Project Execution: Leading the end-to-end execution of R&D projects from concept validation through prototyping, testing, certification, and commercialization.

• Planning: Developing detailed project plans including scope, milestones, budget, risk assessment, and resource allocation.

• Team Coordination: Coordinating cross-functional teams including R&D, Engineering, Production, QA, Procurement, Sales, and Regulatory departments.

• Product Development: Driving new product development (NPD) aligned with the company innovation roadmap and managing the IP portfolio.

• Documentation & Compliance: Managing technical documentation, design reviews, validation reports, and compliance certifications (such as IEC, SLS, ISO, etc.).

• Monitoring: Monitoring project KPIs including timeline, cost, quality, and technical performance to ensure on-time delivery.

• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating technical, commercial, and supply-chain risks.

• External Relations: Liaising with external partners, suppliers, certification bodies, and research institutions.

• Analysis: Conducting feasibility studies, technical benchmarking, and cost optimization analysis.

• Manufacturing Handoff: Ensuring the seamless transfer of developed products to manufacturing with clear production documentation.

What You Should Have (Requirements):

• Education: A B.Sc in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or an equivalent qualification).

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of engineering design principles (mechanical/electrical).

  • Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks).

  • Exposure to project planning tools (e.g., ASANA, MS Project).

  • Understanding of product development cycles or manufacturing processes.

• Experience: Experience or exposure to product design and development, as well as experience in product development or innovations project management.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills to assist in managing timelines and deliverables.

  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams such as design, QA, and production.
