Nursing Assistant – General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University

University Hospital General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (UHKDU) is accepting applications for the post of Nursing Assistant on an hourly payment basis.

Qualifications

• G.C.E. (O/L): Must pass the examination in six (06) subjects with Credit passes for four (04) subjects, including Sinhala/Tamil Language, Mathematics, Science, and English, in not more than two sittings.

• Professional Training: Candidates must have completed a Nursing Assistant Course (NVQ Level 03 or 04) conducted by NAITA.

• Alternative Training: Completion of a Nursing Assistant Course conducted by an institution registered with the TVEC or the Sri Lanka Private Medical Regulatory Council is also accepted.

• Experience: A minimum of one (01) year of working experience is required.

Additional Qualifications

• Education: Passing the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) examination in three (03) subjects in the science stream at one sitting is preferred.

• Specialized Experience: A minimum of two (02) years of experience in retail pharmacy and electronic billing is considered an added advantage.

• Technical Skills: Knowledge in IT and computer literacy is required.

Salary and Age Limit

• Salary: Rs. 250.00 per hour.

• Age Limit: Candidates must be between 22 and 35 years of age.
