Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination with six (06) subjects, including Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Possess a certificate relevant to Moulding issued by a Government Institute or a Vocational Training Institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), or hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification relevant to the trade.
- Minimum of three (03) years of relevant work experience in a Government institution or a recognized private organization.
- Applicants should be between 18 and 45 years of age. (The age limit does not apply to applicants already serving in Government service.)
- Must successfully pass both the interview and practical test relevant to the post.
- Should be physically and mentally fit to perform duties anywhere in Sri Lanka.
- Must possess excellent character.
- Should satisfy the required medical examination if requested.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manufacture moulds for engineering and maintenance requirements.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain moulds and casting equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Ensure moulds are produced accurately to required dimensions.
- Operate moulding tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain quality standards throughout the moulding process.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and well maintained.
- Support engineering and maintenance teams in port operations.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mould making and foundry processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately.
- Experience using moulding tools and workshop equipment.
- Good attention to detail and precision.
- Strong problem-solving and practical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary Code: 10.3 (SS3)
- Initial Salary Step: Rs. 35,845/=
- Annual Increment: Rs. 365/=
- Approximate Monthly Gross Salary: Rs. 111,000/=
