The University of Moratuwa is inviting applications for the post of Library Information Assistant Grade III.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants must meet the following educational criteria:

• G.C.E. (O/L): Must have passed in six (06) subjects at one sitting.

• Credit Passes: Must have credit passes in Sinhala Language/Tamil Language, English Language/English Literature, and Mathematics.

• G.C.E. (A/L): Must have passed in all subjects (except the Common General Paper) in one sitting.

Additional Preferences

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

• A National or Higher National Diploma (Nat.Dip./HND) in Library and Information Science from a recognized institution.

• An acceptable qualification in computer applications of at least six (06) months’ duration from a recognized institute.

Key Employment Details

• Age: Must be between 18 and 45 years as of the closing date.

• Salary Scale: U-MN 1 (III) – Rs. 30,725 – 17 x 445 – 38,290 p.m..

• Selection Method: Selection will be based on a Written Test and Interview.

• General Conditions: Applicants must be citizens of Sri Lanka, physically and mentally fit, and of excellent moral character.
