Position: Manager – Legal (Notarial) Location: Head Office (Kirulapone)

Job Profile

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Drafting: Drafting, reviewing legal contracts, corporate agreements, security documents and assisting Head of Legal to provide recommendations.

  • Advisory: Providing Legal Advices & arrange to obtain appropriate legal information on matters related to litigations and business engagements.

  • Documentation: Title Checking and preparation of Title Reports, execution and registration of Mortgage Bonds, Lease Agreements, and Deeds of Discharge or any required notarial document.

  • Coordination: Coordinate with Business Teams, Panel Lawyers and Legal Counsels to manage credit-related matters.

Candidate Profile

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Education: LLB or Equivalent from a recognized university.

  • Professional Qualification: Attorney-at-Law.

  • Licensing: Notarial license to practice in English & Sinhala in the relevant judicial zone.

  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in the Banking or Financial sector, including at least 6 years of experience in legal practice.

  • Skills:

    • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with ability to work in cross functional teams.

    • Strong analytical skills.

    • IT literacy.
