This role sits within the Internal Audit function at Softlogic Finance PLC’s Head Office and is responsible for reviewing gold loan operations, branch processes, and compliance across the company’s pawning and lending activities.

Softlogic Finance PLC is a licensed finance company in Sri Lanka, part of the Softlogic Group, offering a range of financial services including gold loans, leasing, and deposit products through its Head Office and island-wide branch network.
Qualifications & Experience
Candidates should be part-qualified or qualified in CA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT, or hold a relevant degree. A minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in internal audit is required, preferably within the banking or finance sector with exposure to gold loan and process audits.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will conduct pawning and gold loan audits to ensure effective internal controls and compliance, perform physical verification of gold stock, system records, and branch registers, and review loan granting, redemption, safekeeping, and auctioning procedures. Other duties include identifying control weaknesses and risks and recommending process improvements, preparing audit reports and risk assessments and supporting fraud investigations, conducting branch visits and field audits to strengthen compliance and internal controls, and utilizing knowledge of gold valuation and gold loan assessment during audit engagements.
Required Skills
Candidates should have sound knowledge of internal controls, compliance, and audit practices, along with strong analytical, investigative, and report-writing skills. High integrity, attention to detail, and willingness to travel to branches are essential, as are good communication and interpersonal skills and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
