Join Our Team! Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd is hiring a Java Full-Stack Developer.

Goodhope is part of Carson Cumberbatch PLC, a Sri Lankan conglomerate with regionalized business interests. Goodhope Asia Holdings Ltd, registered in Singapore, is primarily a palm oil producer engaged in palm plantations and edible oils and fats with operations based in South East Asia.

Position: Java Full-Stack Developer (6 Months Contract) – Sri Lanka Office

Job Profile

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• SDLC: Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.

• Coding: Write clean, well-structured, testable, and efficient codes.

• Releases: Assist in preparing and delivering software component releases.

• Support: Support debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.

• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews and follow engineering best practices.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with senior engineers, QA teams, and product teams to deliver high-quality features.

• Improvement: Support continuous improvement by exploring new tools, technologies, and innovative approaches.

Candidate Prerequisites

• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in developing commercial applications using Java with strong OOP knowledge.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.

• Frameworks: Practical experience with Spring/Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.

• APIs: Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, modern design patterns/best practices.

• Databases: Experience with databases (Oracle DB is an added advantage).

• Tools: Exposure to testing and development tools such as Junit, Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, etc..

• Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team with quick adaptability to new technologies.
