About the Role: IT Executive

As an IT Executive at Telesonic Lanka, you will be the first line of defense for our technical operations. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues, ensuring that our business runs smoothly with minimal downtime.

You will work closely with the IT Manager and IT Administrator to implement cybersecurity measures, maintain infrastructure, and support ERP system users. This is a hands-on role situated at our head office in Colombo 04, perfect for a professional with 1–3 years of experience looking to broaden their skill set.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will cover a broad spectrum of IT functions, from helpdesk support to system administration:

• Technical Support & Maintenance: Provide technical support for all hardware, software, and network-related issues faced by staff. You will install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and other IT assets to ensure they are always operational.

• Infrastructure Management: You will be responsible for maintaining critical office systems, including CCTV systems and PABX (Private Automated Branch Exchange) networks.

• System Administration: Manage user accounts, access controls, and IT security protocols to safeguard organizational data. Ensure that all IT systems operate smoothly with minimal downtime.

• ERP Support: Provide support to ERP system users by troubleshooting issues and performing basic configurations. You will facilitate the smooth operation of business processes through effective ERP management.

• Network & Security: Support the IT Administrator in monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure and internet connectivity. You will also assist in implementing cybersecurity measures, including monitoring antivirus updates and firewalls.

• Data Protection: Support the IT Administrator in ensuring regular data backups and verifying that disaster recovery processes are properly maintained.

• Inventory & Procurement: Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware and software licenses. You will also coordinate IT equipment procurement, setup, maintenance, and eventual disposal.

• Compliance & Updates: Ensure timely system updates, patches, and compliance with IT standards to keep our environment secure and up-to-date.

• Training & Coordination: Assist in training employees on IT systems and software applications. You will coordinate with the IT Manager to ensure proper software integration across departments.

Candidate Profile: What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a proactive problem solver with a solid technical background.

Educational Qualifications:

• A Higher Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

• Professional Certifications: Holding certifications such as MCSA / MCSE (or current equivalents) or CCNA / CCNP will be considered a distinct added advantage.

Experience & Skills:

• Experience: A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in IT support or a related role is required.

• Technical Proficiency: You must have familiarity with CCTV, PABX, and networking systems. A basic understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals is also essential.

• ERP Knowledge: Experience with ERP systems such as SAP B1, IFS, or similar platforms will be considered an added advantage.

• Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are a must. You should possess good communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
