Job Description

Support Environmental Enforcement! The Central Environmental Authority is obtaining the services of Investigation Officers on an Assignment Basis.

The Central Environmental Authority (CEA), operating under the Ministry of Environment, is seeking experienced professionals to serve as Investigation Officers (specifically for the post of Chief Investigation Officer) on an assignment basis. This is a crucial role for individuals with a strong background in criminal investigations and disciplinary inquiries within the public sector.

About the Role

The selected officer will be responsible for conducting high-level investigations and inquiries to support the authority’s mandate. This position is offered on an Assignment Basis, with payments structured according to government circulars for disciplinary inquiries.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for seasoned professionals with extensive experience in government investigations.

• Experience: Candidates must have more than 08 years of experience in conducting:

  • Criminal investigations

  • Court cases

  • Initial inquiries

  • Formal Disciplinary Inquiries and related works

• Sector Experience: Experience must be within Government Departments, Government Corporations, or Statutory Boards.

• Preferred Profile: In-service Officers in a Staff level or higher supervising post in Government / Semi-Government Institutions are preferred.

• Method of Payment: Payments will be made as per Public Administration Circular No. 27/2025 issued on 24.10.2025 under the title “Payments for Disciplinary Inquiries”.
