Qualifications & Experience

• Member of a recognized professional accountancy body with qualifications equivalent to a degree.
• Minimum of 20 years of work experience, including 15 years of post-qualification managerial experience in Finance.
• A Master’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field will be an added advantage.
• Proven experience in corporate finance and strategic leadership within complex organizations, preferably in the aviation industry or large multinational organizations.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Commitment to integrity, corporate governance, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Applicants should be Sri Lankan citizens.
• Applicants should not exceed 55 years of age as of 13 July 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall financial strategy and financial operations of the SriLankan Airlines Group.
• Drive strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
• Oversee funding strategies and enterprise financial risk management.
• Deliver strategic financial insights to the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors, and senior leadership.
• Ensure statutory compliance, corporate governance, and financial reporting standards.
• Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, suppliers, and government agencies.
• Lead digital finance transformation and process automation initiatives.
• Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, and financial compliance.
• Promote business continuity, corporate safety, and information security compliance.
• Support long-term business transformation and sustainable organizational growth.
