Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in FMCG, production, or the manufacturing industry.
• Candidates with a Higher National Diploma in Food Science or Food Technology and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
• Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Assurance processes, and HACCP standards.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles will be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills in English, Sinhala, and Tamil.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general IT skills.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan production activities based on production targets, forecasts, and stock levels.
• Coordinate daily production meetings to ensure smooth operations and raw material availability.
• Oversee material receipts, work order documentation, and timely handover of finished goods.
• Monitor production KPIs and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
• Drive operational efficiency and cost control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, GMP, HACCP, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance activities.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and continuous process improvement.
• Perform additional production-related tasks assigned by management.
