Job Summary

The Executive – Operational Excellence (OEX) will be responsible for improving manufacturing productivity, implementing Lean Manufacturing initiatives, managing Kaizen programs, maintaining operational dashboards, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve productivity targets aligned with the annual financial plan.
• Drive people productivity initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Govern and manage the Team Kaizen competition framework.
• Develop and maintain centralized dashboards for MOR, HOD, and weekly operational meetings, ensuring accurate and timely data consolidation.
• Ensure achievement and sustainability of 5S standards across all operational areas.
• Deliver annual Kaizen targets aligned with organizational objectives.
• Achieve planned employee training hours for the financial year.
• Lead and support the organization’s participation in external operational excellence awards.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives throughout manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and performance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Manufacturing and Operational Excellence.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Sound technical and practical understanding of manufacturing operations.
• Working knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• Strong training, facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated creativity and continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication skills in both Sinhala and English.
• Proven ability to engage with shop-floor employees and senior management.
• Exposure to Power BI and ERP systems will be considered an added advantage.
