Qualifications & Experience

• 1–2 years of experience in Non-Motor Underwriting
• Strong understanding of underwriting principles and risk assessment
• Knowledge of Marine Insurance and Takaful products will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in Tamil language is an advantage
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite Marine and Takaful insurance risks based on company guidelines
• Assess risk exposures and determine appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing
• Maintain underwriting discipline to ensure portfolio profitability and sustainability
• Liaise with brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders on underwriting matters
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Support efficient processing of insurance proposals and documentation
• Contribute to risk management and portfolio optimization activities
