DFCC Bank PLC is seeking an experienced professional to join its Imports/Trade Finance Department as Executive – Import, Trade Services & International Remittances. This role suits a trade finance specialist with strong authorizer-level experience who can maintain accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced banking environment.
Position Details
The selected candidate will work within the Trade Services & International Remittances function at DFCC Bank, handling import documentation, trade finance authorizations, and remittance-related processes for the Bank’s corporate and retail clients.

Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should possess a partial or full professional qualification acceptable to the Bank. A trade-related qualification will be considered an added advantage. Candidates must have 8 to 10 years of experience in an Imports/Trade Finance Department, including at least 2 years of experience in an Authorizer/Verifier capacity with exposure to trade-related transactions. Thorough knowledge of ICC guidelines related to international trade, trade finance products, and import/export regulations is required.
Key Responsibilities
The Executive will be responsible for authorizing import collection bills and Letter of Credit (LC) bill lodgments, authorizing bill acceptances and shipping guarantees, and releasing shipping documents and shipping guarantees. Other duties include following up with clients and branches regarding payments, preparing and submitting regulatory reports, performing monthly General Ledger (GL) reconciliations, and handling client, nostro, and correspondent bank queries.
Required Skills
Candidates should have strong negotiation and communication skills, along with exposure to the issuance of Letters of Credit, import bill payments, bank guarantees, and inward and outward remittances. Exposure to export transactions will be an added advantage. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance is essential.
