Furni Dynamic Engineering (Pvt) Ltd, an ISO certified CIDA registered C4 company based in Pilimathalawa, Kandy, currently involved in the construction of water supply projects and building projects, is looking to fill two immediate vacancies: Engineer / Technical Officer – Civil, and Quantity Surveyor.
Position Details
The Engineer / Technical Officer – Civil will support the company’s water supply and building construction projects as a project supervisor or engineer, while the Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for pre and post contract activities on the same projects.

Qualifications & Experience
For the Engineer / Technical Officer – Civil role, candidates should hold an NDT, HNDE, or NDES qualification with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, or an NCT or NVQ Level 5 qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, along with proficiency in computer knowledge and AutoCAD software and a valid motorbike license. For the Quantity Surveyor role, candidates should hold an NDT, HNDE, NDES, Diploma, or NCT Civil qualification, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a water project or building project, proficiency in drafting and design software such as AutoCAD or similar tools, and a valid motorbike license.
Key Responsibilities
The Engineer / Technical Officer – Civil will work as a project supervisor or engineer in construction projects, applying knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site procedures, with the ability to understand drawings and technical documents, maintain site records, reports, and daily progress updates, participate in progress meetings, and demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for pre and post contract activities, preparing BOQ and pricing tender documents, coordinating with clients, architects, and consultants, taking off measurements and preparing interim payment certificates, final bills, sub-bills, variations, and cost analysis and other related documents; costing of furniture and interior design works will be an added qualification.
Required Skills
Candidates should have strong communication and coordination skills, proficiency in computer knowledge, AutoCAD, and related drafting and design software, and strong leadership and problem-solving skills, along with a valid motorbike license.
