Engineer – Radio Network Planning 

Job Purpose

The Assistant Engineer – Radio Network Planning will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and optimization of 2G, 4G, and 5G networks. This includes coverage planning, capacity planning, network optimization, QOS monitoring, troubleshooting, and customer complaint management. The role also involves providing indoor and outdoor CX solutions related to RAN and achieving relevant divisional targets.

The Job

• Provide feedback to Regional Nominal Plan for each BP.
• Revise Regional site plan as per business requirement.
• Confirm Site Locations after JFS (Joint Feasibility Study) within the region.
• Prepare Regional Quarterly capacity plan.
• Prepare Regional Seasonal capacity plan.
• Capacity planning for special events within the region.
• Revise capacity plan as and when required.
• Improve 2G, 4G & 5G Radio network performance within the region.
• Maintain 2G, 4G & 5G Radio network performance within the region.
• Assist in Feature trials.
• Daily Network QOS Monitoring & Trouble shooting within the region.
• Visit Customer premises as and when required to collect field data and provide solutions within the region.
• Timely identification and implementation of solutions for customer complaints within the region.

The Person

• NVQ level 5/IVQ level 5 qualification is a must: City and Guilds Advanced Diploma/HNDE/NDT/NDES/Diploma in Technology (OUSL)/Advanced Diploma in Telecommunications Technology/Advanced Diploma in Constructive Technology/National Diploma in Engineering Technology etc.
• Two years of post-experience in the required field (Electronics & Telecommunications/Electronics/Electrical & Electronics or computer trade).
• Good knowledge in 2G, 4G & 5G technologies, systems, and operations.
• Good knowledge of Network Planning & Optimization Fundamentals.
• Familiarity with radio network planning and optimization tools.
